About Elders
The elders of Sycamore Hill Church shepherd the spiritual life of the fellowship. As a congregational fellowship in which the membership serves as the deciding voice, our elders work to discern God’s vision for his church and the kinds of questions we need to be asking as a congregation. Additionally, elders are called to foster a shepherd’s heart, providing spiritual oversight for God’s flock.
Some time ago, Tony Graffanino began the formal process of considering his call to the role of elder. At that time, the church was notified of Tony's consideration, and since then, he has met regularly with pastors and elders to seek God’s will. On Sunday, February 23rd, a motion will come before the church to formally call Tony to the role of elder. Upon receiving approval by three-fourths of the votes, he will be ordained as an elder in our church for a term of up to 7 years.
Tony's testimony from Sunday, February 9th can be viewed below. Please keep our church and the Graffanino family in prayer as we head towards this important decision.
