ELDER TESTIMONIES

Learn more about the elder process at Sycamore Hill Church

About Elders

The elders of Sycamore Hill Church shepherd the spiritual life of the fellowship. As a congregational fellowship in which the membership serves as the deciding voice, our elders work to discern God’s vision for his church and the kinds of questions we need to be asking as a congregation. Additionally, elders are called to foster a shepherd’s heart, providing spiritual oversight for God’s flock.

Some time ago Andrew Connell and Eric Wikso began the formal process of considering their calls to the role of elder. At that time, the church was notified of Andrew and Eric's consideration, and since then, they have met regularly with current elders to seek God’s will. On Sunday, April 28th, a motion will come before the church to formally call Andrew and Eric to the role of elder. Upon receiving approval by three-fourths of the votes, they will be ordained as elders in our church for a term of up to 7 years.

If you missed Andrew and Eric's testimonies at church, they may be viewed below. Please keep our church, and the Connell and Wikso families, in prayer as we head towards this important decision.
